Rule Studio: Map Configuration: Allow minimum scale of 1:500

Allow the option of a 1:500 minimum scale. We believe this would be useful for asset rich areas.

Hi Andrew, thanks for clarifying that. Currently we offer a digital web map option which allows for a detailed view. Our asset maps use 1:1000 for detail pages, which is a common scale (the majority of responses sent back by DBYD are between 1:1000 and 1:1500). Using 1:500 increases the page count by up to 4 times and this can increase the number of "too large" responses unless you enable our dynamic scale feature to step back for larger dig sites. If you're concerned about crowding of asset classes on the map, we also offer a multiple map option you can consider using. This allows for separate maps to be generated for each asset class. If you would like more information about any of these I suggest you contact Esri Australia support. We can also raise the 1:500 scale idea at the next SmarterWX Automate subscriber meeting to get input from other asset owners - thanks and hope this helps!

Not specifically looking for selected areas only - blanket rule would be fine.

The scale options you refer to are to control the dynamic scaling feature in SmarterWX Automate. This is where asset maps are scaled based on the size of the dig site request area. The setting allows the user to chose the minimum scale for the detail pages in the response. You mention "this would be useful for asset rich areas" - are you looking to generate detail pages at 1:500 for selected areas only?
